Post Falls is one of those cities that is mostly known by locals, with most visitors coming from nearby Coeur d’Alene in Idaho and Spokane, across the state border in Washington.

But if you’re coming from further afield and are looking for where to stay, this guide to boutique hotels in Post Falls has one great place to stay and a couple of other options.

Post Falls is a beautiful destination that offers a variety of outdoor activities and attractions. From hiking and skiing in the nearby mountains to exploring the local shops and restaurants, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

You can even go wine tasting at one of the city wineries. Rosemary Manor is a great option for wine tasting as they focus on small-batch wines.

Boutique Hotels in Post Falls Idaho

As much as I tried to find a boutique hotel or even a luxury hotel, there really isn’t anything like that in Post Falls.

Most accommodation fits into the motel type of place and they aren’t particularly well-rated.

So I’ve recommended one bed and breakfast in central Post Falls. It’s well-located, clean, and great value for money.

But if you really want a boutique hotel, I suggest staying in nearby Spokane. There are a few hotels in Coeur d’Alene as well that are nicer than those in Post Falls but closer than Spokane.

As I mentioned, no boutique hotels are located directly in Post Falls, but the following hotel is the best hotel in the area, 30 minutes away in Spokane.

When you arrive at the hotel, you’ll notice how beautifully they have restored the historic building. The location makes it easy to explore the main sights of Spokane, with great dining and nightlife just outside your door, including a restaurant in the hotel. This hotel is 30 minutes from downtown Post Falls.

Alternatively, choose one of these hotels in Coeur d’Alene, which are only a short drive away.

Where to Stay Near Post Falls

As mentioned, if you’re looking for boutique hotels, there aren’t many places to stay in Post Falls itself. If you’re planning a visit, you might look into staying in a regular downtown hotel or in one of these nearby areas:

Post Falls City Center: This is the heart of Post Falls, where you can find many budget hotels, restaurants, and shops. It’s a great place to stay if you want to be close to everything.

Coeur d’Alene: Coeur d’Alene is a neighbouring city that’s only a short drive from Post Falls. It offers more options for lodging, including luxury resorts and vacation rentals.

One of the main attractions in Coeur d’Alene is Lake Coeur d’Alene, a 25-mile-long lake that’s popular for boating, fishing, and swimming.

In addition to the lake, Coeur d’Alene has several parks to explore, including Tubbs Hill Nature Trails, which offers scenic hiking trails with great views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

McEuen Park is another popular spot, offering a playground, splash pad, and scenic views of the lake.

Along with having the best hotels, the downtown area of Coeur d’Alene is also worth exploring.

Sherman Avenue is the main street and features a variety of shops, restaurants, and art galleries.

The Coeur d’Alene Art Walk is a popular event that takes place on the second Friday of each month from April through December, featuring local artists displaying their work in galleries and businesses throughout the downtown area.

Spokane Valley: Spokane Valley is a city located just across the border in Washington state. It’s about a 20-minute drive from Post Falls, and there are several boutique hotels and charming motels to choose from.

Hayden: Hayden is a small city located in Kootenai County, just north of Post Falls. It offers a quieter atmosphere and is a great option if you’re looking for a more peaceful place to stay.
