Check AvailabilityKimpton Blythswood Square Hotel
Address: 11 Blythswood Square, Glasgow City Centre
Located opposite the pretty Blythswood Square, the Kimpton Hotel is well-located for tourists on a short stay who are looking to be within walking distance to Glasgow’s main sights and attractions. As a luxury boutique hotel, Kimpton is deserving of its 5 stars and high rating. The historic building dates from 1823 and has been fitted out in a sophisticated style with predominantly grey and white furnishings. The large windows provide plenty of light and the bathrooms use marble as a feature. The Kimpton is a renowned spa hotel, making this hotel a great option for those looking for a relaxing weekend break. A percentage of hotel revenue is invested in community or sustainability projects.
CitizenM Glasgow
Address: 60 Renfrew Street, Glasgow, Scotland, UK
CitizenM is located in one of the best areas of Glasgow, near the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. The common areas are filled with cute and quirky music memorabilia. The rooms are comfortable but compact and perfectly clean. The highlight would be the staff, who are known to be exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is working towards being more sustainable through recycling, avoiding single-use plastics and by promoting local artists.
Malmaison Glasgow
Address: 278 West George Street, Glasgow, UK
Malmaison has some of the best boutique hotels in the UK, so I’m surprised that the Malmaison Glasgow isn’t highly rated. The low rating can be attributed to the hotel’s location and the poor value for money. However, I find it a little strange as the hotel is very central although I agree it can be a bit pricey if you book during a busy period. Nonetheless, the Malmaison is a stylish hotel and is a good alternative to those recommended above.
